With its arched blue steel fixtures and burnt orange brick interior, St Pancras Station in London evokes the romance of travel of yesteryear.
Searcy’s Champagne Bar
On the Grand Terrace located at the upper concourse, you’ll find Searcys Champagne Bar, just outside Searcys St Pancras Grand brasserie. The 98 metre space has seating for 110 persons with twelve cosy banquettes lining up the length of the bar.
Searcy’s Champagne Bar
Perch yourself on a padded bar stool or sit in the leather booths, sipping on a flute of champagne while watching the ebb and flow of the station. You’ll spot the usual tourist looking up from the statue of former poet Sir John Bentjeman, and the family doing a 360 round of the frieze surrounding The Meeting Place sculpture by Paul Day as the occasional Eurostar quietly glides into the station and pulls up at the platform.
Searcy’s Champagne Bar
There are 12 champagnes by the glass and an impressive collection by the bottle and the magnum right up to Nebuchadnezzar (15L) Taittinger Brut, NV at € 1300.00. The bar food menu includes seafood, oysters prawns, and smoked mackerel, artisan cheeses and club sandwiches.
Searcys Champagne Bar
Searcys Champagne Bar is an ideal spot to kill a few hours before the train journey or just soak up the romance of rail travel. And if you’re catching the Eurostar to Paris, there is no better way to start your journey than with a taste of France.

Love this place – especially the booths. And the little “press for champagne” buttons on them. If I lived in London, I’d take my laptop down there and work away all day and make it my office away from home. Although I’d probably also be drinking champagne all day long which might make it a tad more difficult to work! 🙂
