ISOS Organic Australian Vodka

ISOS Vodka, a new player in the Australian craft spirit industry has launched a crowd-funding campaign to release the very first batch of their 100% organic Australian vodka.

Handcrafted in small batches, the vodka is made in the Hunter Valley and is distilled 9 times using organic Australian wheat sourced from the New England region of NSW and pure rainwater. ISOS means “equality” in Greek and that is what Dave Brown, owner and operator of The Cotton Thief and Luke Langton, managing director of Nineteen33 have collaborated to produce.

With a pre-release sample, we put ISOS Vodka to the taste test, neat at room temperature, chilled from the freezer and in a dry martini with a twist.

At room temperature, the liquid was smooth with a clean taste and a viscosity on the palate that came with a peppery finish and a hint of sweet citrus. When chilled, the flavours were a little more subdued but the smoothness remained and in a dry Martini with a twist, the citrus element was more prominent. Overall, the vodka fared well against some favourite premium brands.

ISOS Vodka has just just hit the target of its Pozible campaign. You can still secure a bottle here  www.isosvodka.com.au before the general release.
