Jonkanoo Caribbean Canteen
Jonkanoo Restaurant & Bar in Surry Hills have teamed up with bar, music venue and party house Goodgod for a new venture called the Jonkanoo Canteen. Expect Caribbean street food and classic West Indian eats, with tastes of Jamaica, Trinidad, Cuba, Haiti, Bahamas, Dominican Republic. Opening on July 16.

Australian Brewery and Hotel have just opened the Australian Tap House, beside their micro-brewery in Rouse Hill. The venue is a new craft beer bar in the style of a CBD small bar serving craft beers and food as well as guest taps from some of Australia’s best breweries. 350 Annangrove Road, Rouse Hill.
ISOS Vodka Launch
After a successful Pozible campaign, ISOS Vodka officially launched on Monday night at the Corner House in Bondi, with founders Dave Brown and Luke Langton thanking their supporters.

ISOS Vodka Martinis with Regal Rogue Vermouth flowed during the night, as well as Espresso Martinis made with Mr Black Coffee Liqueur.

Sydney Italian Wine + Food Festival
The Sydney Italian Wine + Food Festival is coming to Sydney Town Hall on September 14th, 2014 with over 250 wines on offer. The Festival Tasting Hall will also include Italian artisanal beer, and Australian wine made from Italian grapes. Tickets from $35 www.sydneyitalianwinefood.com.au
OzHarvest Think.Eat.Save
Following on from last year’s success, OzHarvest in partnership with the United Nations is holding a public event on Monday, 21 July to tackle the issues of food and nutrition security and sustainable food systems at Think.Eat.Save. Thousands of people will be served a free, delicious and hearty hot meal by a bevvy of high profile chefs and politicians including the Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore and the Minister for Environment, Rob Stokes. The meals served on the day will be made from surplus or misshapen produce that would have otherwise ended up as landfill. Monday, 21 July 11.30 am to 2.30 pm Martin Place, Sydney.
