The Coogee Bay Hotel has opened the Coogee Burger Shack, a pop-up running every Friday to Sunday.
Coogee Burger Shack, Coogee Bay Hotel
Located in the beer garden directly opposite Coogee beach, Coogee Burger Shack opened late in 2014 and runs throughout the warmer months.
The burgers are by Chef Nathan Tillott of hatted restaurants in Sydney (Prime, Liquidity) and formerly at Cruise restaurant in Circular Quay.
Uncle Kim Burger
The menu ($10 each) consists of seven menu items including The Pig burger with smoked slow-cooked pork, The Shack which is the traditional beef burger and Uncle Kim Burger with Korean fried chicken, chilli mayo, kimchi, pickles and cucumber.
Lattice Fries
The crispy Lattice Fries ($10) with a cheddar melt and spring onions are not to be missed.
Mini Hot Smoked Trout Nicoise
The beer garden is also the spot to enjoy food from the brasseries, such as smoked trout nicoise,
Peppered Squid
and Peppered Squid ($14) with fresh chilli and lemon as you sip on an icy cold beer such as Carlton Draught Fresh & Unpasteurised Beer from the newly-installed tanks.
Coogee Burger Shack runs from Fridays to Sundays.
