Located in Farrer Place, on the corner of Philip and Bent St in Sydney, Bertoni Ristorante & Bar is a new Italian restaurant and bar that brings a New York style eatery to the CBD.

The venue is the first CBD venture from owners Anthony and Albert Iacono, (hence the name Bertoni) of Bertoni Casalinga in Balmain and other cafes around Sydney.
Chef Danny Russo has consulted on the menu to bring a modern Italian dining experience to the Iacono family recipes along with Head Chef Naomi Lowry.
The menu takes inspiration from classic southern Italian dishes with a fresh approach to cooking using housemade pasta. You’ll find classic dishes such as Baccalá Crocchette, Bresaola with figs, rocket and parmesan, Casarecci with four cheese fondue, slow roasted Porchetta with dill and rosemary served with crispy potatoes and tomato gratin, Dry Aged Steak Fiorentina and Tiramisu with marsala soaked sultanas for dessert.
At the launch event, a salumi station was set up offering guests a taste of some of the best salami, prosciutto and cheese on offer. Further along, a mozzarella/burrata making demonstration was underway and pasta was being prepared fresh for guests. Highlights of the canapes included the tender and well-seasoned salt and pepper squid with squid ink aioli, pasta with spicy nduja, and soft, light pillows of gnocchi in tomato sauce. To finish, Ciambella or Italian donuts filled with Nutella vied with the creamy tiramisu.
Bertoni brings to the financial heart of Sydney home style Italian cooking along with Italian hospitality without the CBD price tag. The venue offers a lunch degustation (2 courses for $35) and dinner menu (3 courses for $55) and is open for lunch Monday to Friday between 12pm and 2 pm, and dinner is served from 6pm Wednesday to Friday.
