Archie Rose distillery is offering spirit aficionados a chance to have their personalised spirit by customising their own gin, vodka, whisky or rye using a custom-developed online application.
For Archie Rose Tailored Gin and Archie Rose Tailored Vodka, the web-based application allows a choice of up to five of the distillery’s botanical distillates and their level of intensity. The bottle is then personalised with a custom made label.
When it comes to Archie Rose Tailored Whisky, there are more choices to make. Single Malt Whisky or Rye Whisky can be custom made in 20, 50 or 100 litre cask using either new oak or first fill oak (New American Oak, French Oak, Ex-Bourbon, Ex-Port and Ex-Sherry). The chosen level of peat smoke (peat or beechwood) is selected as well as the preferred ABV. A total experience can be provided whereby you can be at the distillery for two half days and participate in the brewing and distillation of the whisky.
Once the spirit is produced, your name is stencilled on to your cask before it is stored and displayed in the bar rack until mature. The Archie Rose Production Manager and Head Distiller will be managing the maturation process. Every year, you will receive a 200ml sample however your cask can be sampled at any time by appointment.
Once matured, the Tailored Whisky can be either can be shipped by cask without bottling, or as filled bottles or as filled bottles with the empty cask.
Archie Rose Tailored Vodka retail for $84, Tailored Gin for $89, and Tailored Whisky starts at $4000 for a 20L Cask. Archie Rose Tailored Spirits will be available from Monday 2 November here.
