Australian Beer Company has launched Yenda Green Hop, a new, limited edition craft beer in collaboration with spirits ambassadors from The Exchange team.
Yenda Green Hop
Only 280 cases were brewed and the beer will be sold as a Boilermaker with Highland Park 12-Year-Old Single Malt in August.
Yenda Green Hop is a collaboration between Yenda brewers and whisky expert Dan Woolley. After an extensive tasting of a range of whiskies which included Highland Park, The Macallan, Maker’s Mark, Knob Creek Rye and Basil Hayden’s, Highland Park 12 yo single malt was the chosen malt.
To complement the whisky’s floral nose, heathery taste profile with a hint of peat, Yenda’s brewers chose green hops, picked green from the bine and used immediately. Vic Secret and Galaxy hops were sourced from Rostrevor Hop Farm in Bright in Victoria. After they were brewed, some brew was set aside and the remainder was put into ex-whisky barrels for three months before the final blending.
Yenda Green Hop joins Yenda craft beer range we featured earlier in the year that includes the winter seasonal Chocolate and Vanilla Stout, as well as Yenda Pale, IPA, Golden, Red and Hell.
You’ll find it exclusively as a Boilermaker serve at key venues including Surly’s (Sydney), Beer Deluxe Fed Square (Melbourne), Cobbler (Brisbane), Hains & Co (Adelaide) and Flour Factory (Perth).
