The Morrison Crab Carnival is back running from Monday 19th March until Sunday 15th April 2018.
Back for the fifth year, The Morrison Crab Carnival features a speciality menu curated by The Morrison’s Culinary Director, Chef Sean Connolly, inspired by Sean’s personal passion for Italian cooking with dishes including Crab Ravioli and an indulgent Crab Risotto.
In addition to creating innovative crab dishes, Crab Carnival is committed to delivering a menu that is sustainable. Chef Connolly has worked closely with suppliers to ensure the produce provided promotes sustainability, inspired by the paddock to plate ethos. Sean’s signature Chilli Mud Crab and Mac & Cheese will also be making a return for 2018.
Complementing the menu will be a selection of beverages, including a refreshing gin cocktail with lemon myrtle, a sweet rosé sangria, and a raft of nautical-inspired craft beers.
- Sailors Grave “Down She Gose” – A delicate salty yet thirst quenching German-style brew with a smooth finish and subtle citrus ocean tang to accompany your journey to Davy Jones Locker.
- Kereru Salty Seaweed Ale (500ml) – A wheat beer brewed from karengo, an edible purple seaweed infused with salt water. Rich, tart & curiously stranger, with a luscious finish just how Captain Cook liked it.
- The Manly Lady – The White Lady with a Morrison twist. Soft and citrusy pops from brewed leaves of the lemon myrtle tree make it a perfect crab pairing enhanced by hints of sea botanicals found in Manly gin.
- Crab Rose Sangria – 1L Carafe (for 2) – A tipple to share with friend. Crazy Tropez Rosé, Lillet Rosé, Oranges, Red Grapefruit & Pomegranate Pearls.
Highlights of The Morrison Crab Carnival 2018 include:
- Monday & Thursday – Steam Pot Nights
- Tuesday – Cheap Chilli Muddies
- Wednesday – $1 Oyster Hour
- Friday – $12 cocktail and beer specials
