Taste of Sydney

Taste of Sydney is back at centennial Park, running from 14-17 March 2013. Top picks for 2013 include: newcomer and regular restaurants Efendy, Ananas Bar and Brasserie, Sake Restaurant and Bar, Three Blue Ducks, The Woods and Porteno; Tasmanian Pavilion with Spring Bay Seafood, Moo Brew and Tasmanian Whiskies;  Malaysian Kitchen with Masterchef’s Poh Ling, Peter Kuruvita’s Seafood Barbecue, Plumm Wine Theatre by Gourmet Traveller WINE, Sensology and the Art of Cocktail Making, and the Cointreau Fizz Lounge, where you can have the Cointreau Fizz cocktail, created for Dita Von Teese during her recent visit to Sydney. http://www.tasteofsydney.com.au

The Old Growler

The Old Growler in Woolloomoolloo is launching in March, a collaboration between Alexander Watts and Nick Watney of The Runcible Spoon in Camperdown, Jack Brown and the renowned Ching a Lings crew and Oscar McMahon of Young Henry’s brewery in Newtown. Stay tuned!

What to Drink

Dal Zotto Wines have pioneered Prosecco in Australia and their Dal Zotto l’Immigrante Prosecco is made from the traditional methode champenoise. This is a drier style of Prosecco than their Pucino, crisp with fine bubbles, and a touch of toasty complexity which makes it delicious to sip on its own or with seafood. Keep an eye out for it as it’s not always easy to find.
