El Camino Cantina (& Sake Restaurant) Coming to Manly Wharf

El Camino Cantina is bringing its Tex-Mex experience to the northern beaches with a 365-seat restaurant opening on the new rooftop of Manly Wharf.

Opening on Friday, 9 November, El Camino Manly Wharf promises a line-up of Tex-Mex treats, including complimentary and unlimited tortilla chips and vibrant salsas, soft shell tacos topped with piquant ingredients, sizzling chargrilled fajitas, burritos fat with fillings, and hot buffalo wings; super-sized classic and frozen margaritas, local, regional and Mexican draught and bottled beers and over 100 tequilas and mezcals; and jukeboxes loaded with music.

At 6pm a mariachi band kicks off the Friday celebrations, which include a ticketed, two-hour food and beverage package ($69pp) comprising of Tex-Mex bites, margaritas, beer, wine and bubbles. The night will heat up with a DJ, chilli eating competition and pop-up bars serving speciality margaritas and tequila shots. Grab a free sombrero and let El Camino Cantina spice up the night.

DJs will play throughout the launch weekend to the backdrop of El Camino’s festive Tex-Mex vibe and rooftop view of Manly Cove. The terrace accommodates 100 diners and is ideal for weekday happy hours, long weekend lunches, boozy brunches and margarita-inspired sunset soirées.

Over the launch weekend guests can super-charge the start of summer with El Camino’s famous margaritas in 15oz, 24oz and a 2-litre tower. Choose from classic, mango and strawberry served either frozen, or on the rocks. A limited-edition Skinny Organic rita and bright blue Tiffany rita will be available for the launch.

Diners can also explore a range of menus from weekend brunch (11am-2pm), to late night options and several set menus, including ‘fajita fiesta’ and all you can eat tacos. El Camino ushers in its first Sunday Session on Sunday, 11 November from 11am, with a DJ from midday and permission to end the weekend on a super-chilled high, Tex-Mex style.

After the launch weekend, a range of affordable daily deals kick in, including happy hour every weekday from 4pm to 6pm, with $7.50 margaritas, beers, wines and tequilas; $2 Taco Tuesday; 10-cent chicken wings every Wednesday; half price fajitas on Thursdays; and a $15 burrito and beer lunch special from Monday to Friday. There is also a 1kg, $59 burrito challenge – customers receive the burrito for free if they can eat it in under one hour.

Guests can also sign up to become an El Camino Amigo and enjoy rock-star benefits, including extended happy hour (4pm-7pm), $25 birthday voucher, invitations to monthly Amigos parties, and exclusive discounts and early bird deals to big ticket parties, such as New Year’s eve.

Note: Saké Restaurant & Bar will also be opening on the new rooftop of Manly Wharf this Friday 9th November.
