Each bottle is made using blue agave harvested at its peak maturity after seven to twelve years of growth in the field and aged in French and American oak barrels for a minimum of three years.
Reserva de la Familia was first released in 1995 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the distillery. The ornate box is designed by local artists and is a keepsake for the collector. As an extra añejo tequila, the spirit has aromas akin to rum and whisky with a smooth, silky palate to match making it a fine sipping tequila for a special occasion.
