Chingon Cantina Pops Up at Chatswood

Chingon Cantina, a new pop-up restaurant and bar by the House of Pocket has opened in Chatswood this week.

Chingon Cantina

Taking over the space formerly occupied by Lid & Jar coffee shop in Chatwood, Chingon Cantina is the latest venue for hospitality group, House of Pocket, which runs Stitch Bar, Button Bar, and Mister Pocket among others throughout NSW.

Decked out with large plant displays, wooden doors as walls, leather booths and lots of bright colours, the venue has an impressive 80sqm outdoor area, which has been polished up and littered with plants to give that bright, Mexican feel.

Chingon Cantina

The food takes inspiration from culinary adventures of a Mexican fleeing to Cuba, with a strong Mexican influence coupled with a hint of Latin flavours. Drinks have a rum and tequila focus along with zero-alcohol options.

Chingon Cantina

The House of Pocket has worked closely with the Willoughby Council for this pop up venue to work and have been impressed with their dedication to improving the areas night time offering. The hospitality group is hoping that community support results in extending the 6 months pop up period.

Chingon Cantina is open to public everyday from 4pm until late, and will be opening for lunches next week.
