Chefs Gallery, MetCentre Sydney

Step past the Chefs Gallery in Sydney’s MetCentre and you can watch balls of dough being stretched like rubber bands at the deft hands of the chefs. There’s an element of magic as he pulls, twists and stretches the dough which results in the finest and silkiest noodles.

Chefs Gallery at the MetCentre is a recent addition to the existing restaurant at Regents Place with Macquarie Centre opening in September. Seating approximately 80 persons, the restaurant serves a selection of Chinese food drawing on four schools of cuisine: Lu (Shandong), Yang (Su), Yue (Guandong/Cantonese) and Chuan (Sichuan).

At the media launch, guests were treated to a selection of delicious canapes from the menu. The Kingfish Sashimi with Citron Jam had a lovely tang and balance of flavours while the Tatakyi Wagyu Beef delivered a good dose of heat. The Prawn and Pork Wontons in Spicy Sauce were a highlight leaving a tingling sensation on the lips. The Mini Pork Buns were a crowd favourite as well as the Crispy Pork Belly in a sweet and sticky sauce.

Chefs Gallery at MetCentre launched on Thursday 24 July 2014.
