Bar Tapa in Darlinghurst brings an authentic Spanish experience to Sydney.
Bar Tapa Darlinghurst
Bar Tapa is the new business venture by bar industry professionals, Manuel Terron (former Midori Global Brand Ambassador) and Sarah Miller (former Premium Spirit Brand Ambassador for The Exchange). The husband and wife team brings a wealth of hospitality experience, and with Terron’s Spanish heritage, an authentic Spanish tapas bar to Sydney.
Located along Stanley Street, Bar Tapa occupies the former site of Lucky Suzie and is situated across the road from Stanley’s and The Long Goodbye.
Bar Tapa Blackboard Menu
The venue echoes the Spanish vibe, from the warmth of exposed brick walls and hanging jamon to the wall with the Virgin of Triana with Spanish tiles and nik naks the couple have brought with them from a recent trip to Spain.
Martini de la Casa
The drink list is all Spanish – wine, beer, cider, cava, sherry and vermut. A concise cocktail list continues the Spanish theme such as Martini de la Casa made with Larios Spanish gin, Tio Pepe Fino Sherry, garnished with an array of pickles, or the Masclet, a combination of Spanish beer and vermouth.
Paella Mar y Montaña
The food at Bar Tapa comes from an all-Spanish kitchen and the experience is what you would have in Spain. Order a drink and you get an accompanying tapita to snack on. The food menu is extensive with over 50 tempting items divided into Banderillas or bite sized morsels, Pinchos such as Brandada de Bacalao con Tetilla, a long list of Tapas with favourites such as Gambas al Ajillo and Croquetas, and Platos Fuertes, larger sized dishes that include Paella and Gambas a la Parilla. A selection of chesses, cold meats, tostadas and desserts rounds off the menu.
Take a seat at the bar or relax at a table and prepare to enjoy an authentic Spanish experience in the heart of Sydney.
