Hunter Gatherer, North Sydney

Hunter Gatherer is set to open this month in North Sydney on the rooftop of Greenwood Plaza. The new bar and eatery by owners of Bondi venues The Corner House and Panama House is set in a contemporary Danish design with rustic farmhouse finishes and lush greenery that fuses the interior with the outdoors and on to the large terrace.

The food by Michelin trained head chef Paul “Mick” Micklewright will have a menu on rotation based on fresh, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and ethical produce. The Hunted and Gathered sections include seasonal dishes such as Bannockburn free range chicken, braised with Sicilian olives, lemon, confit garlic, thyme and verjus; Farmers market steak platter with all the trimmings; Spiced eggplant, haloumi and tomato salad with parsley and chickpeas and Roast bone marrow served with onion jam and toasted baguette.

The bar has a local focus offering a range of craft beers, local spirits, cocktails as well as organic and biodynamic wines.

Hunter Gatherer will be open Monday to Friday, and is licensed until midnight from Wednesday to Friday.
