2015: A Year in Review & Christmas Message

If you’re like us, you’re probably looking at the 2015 calendar and asking yourself “where did this year go”.

Looking back, it’s been a full and rewarding year for us at Gourmantic, and if we were to pick the top 3 highlights, it would be all the media travel, Gourmantic turning 6 years old and the launch of our new website, Cocktails & Bars.

During summer, we travelled to Canberra with Doma Hotels for LiloTang Restaurant, to Queensland’s Gold Coast for Kiyomi Restaurant, and to Melbourne with Bacardi for Bacardi Legacy Australian Final. During the colder months, we went to the Hunter Valley with Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association, to Hobart Tasmania with Lark Distillery for the launch of Forty Spotted Gin, and back to Melbourne with Diageo for the John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2015. We had a change of scenery in Thredbo with GH Mumm Champagne for La Folie Douce & Thredbo Top2Bottom and back to Melbourne with Baranows Emporium for Diplomatico Rum.

In June 2015, when Gourmantic turned 6 years old, plans were already well on the way to start the new website. In August 2015, we launched Cocktails & Bars and later travelled to Canberra thanks to VisitCanberra to explore the Canberra bar scene for our new website.

Now it’s time to hang up the “gone fishing” sign and unplug. We’ll be taking a 4 week break starting from Friday 18 December 2015 and will return in a limited capacity on Monday 18 January 2016. Gourmantic, as well as Cocktails & Bars will be auto updating with new content while we get some R&R on a sandy beach.

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all happiness and good times during the Christmas and New Year break and look forward to welcoming you back in 2016.
