Australian Bar Awards Finalists & Bar Week 2014

Bartender Magazine has announced the finalists for the 2014 Australian Bar Awards. The top eight nominations in each category have been selected with New Bar of the Year and Best Bar Food Selection having ten nominations. This year, Gourmantic is the proud sponsor of the Best Bar Food category and will be presenting the award on the night.

Bar Food Selection

Congratulations to all the finalists, many of whom we have featured on Gourmantic and on social media. The Australian Bar Awards will be held during Bar Week and the winners will be announced at the awards night on September 30. The full list of finalists is available on the official website here.

The timetable for Bar Week events has also been released with a host of activities open to trade and public. The Bartender Workshops will be held on Tuesday 30 September at TheLoft and I will be on the panel discussing Bar Publicity & Advertising.

Whether it’s gin at The Barber Shop, champagne at the Roosevelt, Japanese Whisky at Uncle Ming’s, Tasmanian Whisky at Shirt Bar, Beer Fest at Mojo Record Bar or Mezcal at Mr Moustache, these Bar Week events which are open to the public are set to sell out early. See the full timetable on the official website here.

Mark your diaries. Bar Week runs from Saturday 27 September until Tuesday 30 September, 2014.
