Jupiters Hotel and Casino on Queensland’s Gold Coast is currently undergoing a $345 million dollar transformation with the first phase including Japanese restaurant and bar Kiyomi, the refurbishment of the building façade and a new poolside experience.

The Gold Coast icon will feature a major upgrade of the existing 592-rooms hotel rooms and a brand new 6 star hotel tower with luxurious suites. The tower will include new signature bars and restaurants, private gaming rooms, a high-end exclusive lounge bar overlooking the infinity edge pool with skyline and ocean views. The $345 million transformation is due to be completed prior to the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Superior King Room

The existing rooms are comfortable and spacious with a wall-mounted television set, a mini bar and shower over bathtub in the bathroom. The rooms have not undergone renovations yet but will be given a much-needed upgrade as part of the new transformation. Wifi connection is complimentary only at the hotel’s lobby and incurs a charge in the room.

However, the view from room 1718 towards the beach is nothing short of spectacular.

Breakfast at Food Fantasy

Breakfast is served at Food Fantasy which is located on Ground Level. The restaurant  serves a buffet breakfast ($30 pp) daily from 6.30am to 10am.

You’ll find an array of fresh fruit, mini carafes of freshly-squeezed and detox juices, cheeses and cold meats, pastries and an abundant selection of hot dishes with favourites such as crispy bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, waffles and grilled tomatoes.

Eastern Water Dragon (aka Jub-Jub)

You may encounter a local resident that looks like a large lizard lazing by the pool or sunbathing in the garden. It’s an Eastern Water Dragon, a harmless semi-aquatic and arboreal lizard that has made the area its home.

  • Jupiters is situated in Broadbeach, a 30 minute drive north from Gold Coast Airport along the Gold Coast Highway.
  • The hotel is located within a 5 minute easy walking distance to Broadbeach.
  • New restaurants include Kiyomi and Cucina Vivo, featuring a balcony overlooking the newly-renovated pool.
  • Taxis are available at the front of the hotel as well as a bus stop.
  • The monorail is in operation and a station can be accessed from the hotel.
  • Pacific Fair shopping centre is conveniently located across the road.
