When your idea of accommodation in Paris is a stay in an elegant and modern boutique hotel in a neighbourhood once renown for artists, look no further than Hôtel de Nell.
Hôtel de Nell, Paris
Part of Charm and More Hotels and Resorts, Hôtel de Nell is located along rue du Conservatoire, a narrow one way street near the corner of rue Sainte-Cecile in the 9eme arrondissement, the smallest Parisian district between Montmartre and Jardins du Palais Royal. The hotel is a recent addition to the district, having opened in March 2012.
The 33 room hotel is the work of interior designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte who has created luxury and an understated elegance with clean lines, warm materials, custom furniture and specialist lighting.
Spacious Room
Room 12 is located on the first floor and accessed by a lift. Overlooking the neo-Gothic, 19th-century Sainte-Cécile church, the room is spacious and bathed in natural light. Sandy tones with dark blue accents give a sense of space and serenity.
The bed offers the right level of comfort, neither too soft nor too rigid. Pillows a la carte complement the hypo allergenic and dust mite resistant mattress and bedsteads.
Desk and Television
A 32 inch flat screen TV running local and international television stations, a Nespresso coffee machine near mini bar, an iPod dock, a personal safe and free wifi are some of the in-room facilities.
Double Vanity
The bathroom brings nature inside with stone coloured surfaces, a white marble double basin and the luxury of underfloor heating.
Side View of Bathroom
Bathrobes, slippers and paraben-free complimentary toiletries are on offer along with a heated towel rack.
Japanese Marble Bath
A Japanese bath cut from a solid block of marble with a tray, footstool and seat made with light Oregon myrtlewood is the spot to relax and unwind. Only 17 out of the 33 rooms have a Japanese bath.
Bath Interior
Soak in one of three bath rituals – energising, cleansing or stress-relieving and you can enjoy a Japanese tea to order.
Italian Rainfall Shower & Separate Toilet
The Italian rainfall shower is simply luxurious, tucked away behind the vanity. A separate toilet at the other end of the room is night-lit for easy access.
Lobby with Fireplace
Downstairs, an intimate lobby includes a fireplace,
Lobby
