Bondi has a new bar and restaurant and will soon to be home to a radio station. Owners Eddie De Souza, Anthony Hughes and Keith Hodgson have transformed the old Bondi 88FM Cafe into Neighbourhood, with ex Porteno and Australian Bartender Magazine Editor, Simon McGoram behind the bar and Josh Evans ex Corner House and Panama House in the kitchen. MoVida at T2

MoVida is set to open at Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic Terminal at the end of August 2013. The restaurant will be open daily from 6am to 9pm. The new 137 square metre tapas bar will seat 80 and serve a selection of Spanish tapas and raciones designed to share. Breakfast will also be served at MoVida T2 with a range of pastries, sandwiches and bocadillos. www.sydneyairport.com.au

Gay Bar

Gay Bar in Darlinghurst launched early this month for owners Stephen Craddock & Nelson De Sousa. The party venue is backed up with a food menu by Executive Chef Mark Proudfoot with a focus on meatballs, cocktail offerings and some of Sydney’s best DJs and entertainers. 231 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst www.thegaybar.com.au

MasterChef Dining

The MasterChef Dining & Bar Pop Up Restaurant is back for a limited season. Designed by AZBCreative, the pop up runs for a period of three weeks at Sydney’s First Fleet Park from 13th August to 1st September, 2013. masterchefdining.com.au

Café Paci

Café Paci has opened as a pop up venue for one year at the old Café Pacifico site in Darlinghurst. Chef Pasi Petanen is offering a seasonal and creative set menu for $85pp with an alternate full vegetarian menu. 95 Riley St Darlinghurst www.cafepaci.com.au

Juniper Society at The Rook

Rooftop bar, The Rook, hold Juniper Society Gin Club meetings on Mondays. The casual and educational gatherings showcase a different gin every time with guest speakers and some complimentary drinks on the second Monday of each month. www.therook.com.au

Zigi’s Art Wine and Cheese Bar

Zigi’s Art Wine and Cheese Bar has launched a new menu. The bar-restaurant specialises in a selection of wine and cheese from all over the world, as well as Ausraeli cuisine (a mix between Australian and Israeli cuisine) by chef Zigi Ozeri. 86 Abercrombie St, Chippendale www.winecheesebar.com.au

Connoisseur Stick Range

With spring almost here, Connoisseur Ice Cream have introduced the Stick Range with five flavours encased in a thick coat of milk chocolate. Exotic flavours include Sumatran Coconut, Madagascan Vanilla and  Murray River Salted Caramel with Macadamia.

Don’t forget Taste Orange @ Sydney is on next week with a pop up wine bar, Jones the Grocer truffle dinner runs throughout August and Rabbit Hole Bar & Dining will have a new spring cocktail menu from September 1st.
