The shopping mall is a replica of a traditional souk with all the modern comforts of air conditioning, western cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. You’ll find anything from homewares, to souvenir shops to gourmet foods such as fine chocolate and caviar. You can even have your photo taken with a falcon. Venture outside and open plazas offer a view of Burj Al Arab hotel where you can enjoy food and drink and smoke a shisha if you wish.

The souk is built within Madinat Jumeirah’s buildings which have an Arabian sandstone colour with imposing domes, a replica of fortresses and palaces. Madinat Jumeirah Hotel is part of the complex and boasts approximately 4 kms of canals with waterways where modern abras transport people around.

You won’t find many locals shopping there; it is mainly a beautiful mall for tourists and visitors, albeit on the expensive side.

In the evening, Souk Madinat Jumeirah comes alive and you’ll find it buzzing with nightlife from the cafés, restaurants and shisha bars. Shoo Fee Ma Fee Moroccan restaurant is located within the complex and offers an unforgettable dining experience under colourful tents with Burj al Arab hotel light show within easy view.
