Restaurant Cuvee, Peterson House, Hunter Valley

Restaurant Cuvée is located in the beautiful lush grounds of Peterson House in the Hunter Valley. A rose-lined driveway leads onto the restaurant and tasting room with ample parking.

The restaurant overlooks the vines and on a crisp autumn morning, we stopped by to sample their specialty.

The Bubbly Breakfast ($28) is a hearty meal so bring a healthy appetite. Two free range eggs share a plate with bacon, grilled mushrooms, baby spinach, grilled vine tomatoes, rosemary and a seeded mustard rosti with thick cut toast. A glass of Peterson House sparkling adds a decadent start to the day. And if you think that’s enough, you get Hunter Valley chocolates to eat or take away.

Other menu items worth trying are the Corn Fritters ($20) drizzled with balsamic and topped with avocado salsa and creme fraiche with either salmon or bacon, and Dukkah Eggs ($18) with fresh lime and spinach, binnorie dairy feta and tomato chutney.

Restaurant Cuvée

Restaurant Cuvée gets busy so it pays to book ahead if you’re planning to visit during a weekend.

Peterson House will be holding their Bare Vines and Bubbles event in June as part of Hunter Valley Wine & Food Month.
