Bar Totti’s Opens in Sydney CBD

Following the opening of the Bondi venue, Bar Totti’s has opened at Sydney’s ivy with the premise of bringing fun, high-energy and a party vibe to the George Street precinct.

Chefs Mike Eggert and Jake Ahrens (Ash St. Cellar, Uccello) are behind the pans, serving up the simple and food Totti’s is renowned for at the Merivale venue. Like Bondi, the menu is built around the famed wood-fired bread, but this time the focus is entirely on house-made antipasti and snacks.

The antipasti list has been expanded, with over twenty to choose from – think sardines, anchovies, octopus, scallop crudo, prosciutto, ‘nduja, burrata, baked tomino and marinated peppers. Snacks are ‘alla griglia’ (grilled), like king prawns, chili and fennel, halloumi, oregano and lemon, chicken wings, honey and rosemary, and grilled garfish lemon and bay leaf. Totti’s much-loved desserts have been carried over, including the tiramisu and Neopolitan ice-cream sandwich.

Drinks are simple, retro-Italian-inspired favourites, building on the classic and seasonal drinks of Bondi with a greater focus on spritzes and after-dinner cocktails for the city. There is a small selection of easy-drinking drops and low-intervention Italian wines.

Bar Totti's

Bar Totti’s is simple and stripped-back, with white-washed walls and natural timbers. The venue is split into two spaces, each with their own pace. The first centres around an expansive horseshoe bar, with high-top tables and a DJ playing Wednesday-Sunday, while the second opens onto George Street, with big windows that drench the space in natural light.

Walk-in only, Bar Totti’s is open 12pm to late every day, with no set lunch or dinner times, making it the perfect after-work haunt or place to kick off a night out in the city.
